For Travel Info regarding River Festival on the Waterfront – Why not use the bus, train or ferry to get to the On the Waterfront events?  It is so much easier to use public transport than trying to find a parking space.  Buses, trains or the Mersey Ferries all call at or near the Pier Head and Albert Dock and a Saveaway ticket will probably help you save money too.

  • for the City Line and national rail services – Lime Street. Most buses that stop on Lime Street, outside the station, will bring you to the waterfront.

The nearest bus stops to the Pier Head and Albert Dock are:

  • Castle Street
  • Liverpool ONE Bus Station (next to John Lewis)

Mersey Ferries

Mersey Ferries from Seacombe and Woodside call at the Pier Head, right at the heart of all the activities.

Car Parking

The Capital Car Park is situated on The Strand and Fazakerley Street (just off Old Hall Street) and is now operating on a 24 hour a day basis.

For secure parking and only a couple of minutes walk to the ‘On the Waterfront’ event you will be safe in the knowledge your car is well looked after. Please visit our website www.thecapitalcarpark.com for more information. Special Saturday and Sunday rates of 60p an hour to a maximum of £5 per day.
